Does any one have a detailed fastener analysis or report I could use for a guide?

Try the ASM Metals Handbook volume 11 "Failure Analysis and Prevention".

Good Luck

Machinery's handbook has a section on bolt torque, tension, and fatigue - - however, my copy (25th Edidtion) appears to have some small error(s) of some sort.
If you use the numbers you get from the Torquing guide there, but make the units ft-lbs, rather than the inch-lbs it says, you will be pretty close to standard guides.

Otherwise, here's a quick guide:
n is expected number of cycles
if n>1,000,000 use n=1,000,000

For Grade 5 Bolts: D = 1/4'' - 1-1/4''
T = [ 1 - (log(n))/30)*10^(3.95 + 3.145log(D) )

For Grade 5 Bolts: D = 1-3/8'' - 2-1/2''
T = [ 1 - (log(n))/30)*10^(3.96 + 3.07log(D) )

For Grade 8 Bolts: D = 1/4'' - 1-1/4''
T = [ 1.25 - (log(n))/24)*10^(3.95 + 3.145log(D) )

For Grade 8 Bolts: D = 1-3/8'' - 2-1/2''
T = [ 1.25 - (log(n))/24)*10^(3.96 + 3.07log(D) )

Hope this helps
Curmudgeon
