hi,
a vendor provided me with an L10 life for fans used in an air conditioning system i am interested in.
- the fans L10 life is 65,000 hrs.
- there are 8 fans in this assembly.
- 4 of the fans operate at 2,250 RPM and the other 4 are at 3,600 RPM.
- The vendor is claiming that the MTTF is 400,000 hrs for the fans.
i am trying to confirm this info, but the results of my calculations are not even close.
- the formula i used is:
MTBF = L10(HRS)*10^6 / 60 * RPM.
- Am i using the wrong formula for this?

I would appreciate any help with this.
thanks.
