I'm trying to enter parameter data into the family table using the edit in Excel option (all data is in Excel). However, it doesn't like the parameter data (descriptions, no values). It returns to the * char. in the family table when I update. I go BACK to Excel to edit and the un-transfered data shows up in GREEN. All numerical data (dimensions) show up fine in both tables. I'm assuming this is some sort of data-type def. problem. I've tried lots of things but nothing seems to work. Any idea's or fixes?

Check to see what kind of parameter you have set up.

When you initially set up the parameter, you had to choose from Integer, Real Number, and String. If you selected integer and are trying to put in text, its not going to work. You should probably use string if it is a text string.
