How to you override a dimension on a family table with a dash?

In the family table or in a drawing?

If in drawing, go to the dimension properties and replace the "d" with an "o", then place your dash.

For Overiding the dimension in family table

Just Go to Properties of dimension there you can see @d make there change as

@o and put your dimension value in front of o OK

It should be behind the "o", not in front.

I understand what you are all saying above but the dimension in the family table is referncing a datum and I dont know where I can add the @o to override.

When you add a datum you have to offset if off an edge or surface differently than you do when you extrude or anything else. Datums have their own menu.
