Family of parts in sheet metal

I started looking for a way to use the family of part functionality for some sheet metal parts and I wonder if there is a way to have the flat pattern being kept with each new member? As of now it only creates a part copy of the master to the desired dimension with no flat pattern in it so I have to open each and every file separately to create the flat pattern that's kind of a long process that could be corrected

Any ideas?
