Fairbanks Turbo-Free Suction Elbow

Has anyone had a problem with Fairbanks' (I guess they are Pentair now) Turbo-Free pump suction elbow? I'm having trouble with some pump noise (possible cavitation) and i'm looking any and everything.

Will have one installed on a 400 hp vertical non-clog pump soon. Interested to see other people's experience with it as well. Op, what makes you think the noise / cavitation is caused by the Turbo-Free elbow?
