hello all!

So here's my problem.. I extruded a shape on one axis, and trimmed it on the other axis to the right profile. Now I want to cut a hole into the rounded back face.. or shell from that face.. but neither work. I even tried a lofted cut.. it comes out with errors like 'feature cannot cut that body' or 'the cut does not intersect with the body so can't cut'.. even though it clearly is.. does solidworks have issues making complex cuts into a spline-created rounded face?

also does anyone know who when I try and mirror rivet heads from one side of that symetrical form to the other the geometrical pattern box says it should be on, but then when mirror happens the new rivets are either invisible, not really there, or inside the form? but in preview 9yellow outlines) it looks good/proper position...?

Thanks@!

can i upload the entire file to here? Yeah I've reset a few times..

wow thanks! So was it because I didn't knit all the surfaces together? When I made the crack I just knit the main surface the crack was on plus all the crack surfaces.. should I have included the other main surfaces off the part when I knit them?
