I'm learning 3D and having problems with the Extrude and thicken to solid commands
1) A solid I can make from extrusion though unable to cut through it using a profile? If I redraw the 2D shape and thicken to solid this will then cut? why is this please.
2) Direction of Extrusion and thicken to solid. How can I control the direction arrows of the command. In an isometric view I'm using the RC shortcut to align my Acudraw compass orientation and tried all rotation shortcuts to see if I can pull the shape in different directions though the arrows don't change.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
