I'm looking for stud bolts that are good for a temp range of 150 F to -301 F HELP!!

For this temperature range, austenitic stainless steel fasteners typically are specified according to ASTM A320. There are several grades to choose from, depending on the desired strength and corrosion resistance. Take a look at the following link for some basic information:

Thanks TVP, it looks like I'm out of SA-320's range though. I would need the "L7" but it's only good to -150. I was hoping it would be a simple answer, but I'm going to have to keep digging. The max bolt size I'm dealing with is 1.875" dia.

As TVP said, you should be able to use ASTM A193 bolts, or A320, austenitic grades, but may need to add some extra tests and/or certs.

see ASTM A962 / A962M - 12 Standard Specification for Common Requirements for Bolting Intended for Use at Any Temperature from Cryogenic to the Creep Range Link

Thanks for the info, I did confirm yesterday that we would have to do further testing to certify the bolting to -301. Now off to explore pricing...

HDGlide,

All of the B8-type fasteners are suitable for use down to -300 F. Because these are austenitic stainless steels, they are not really susceptible to a ductile to brittle transition like ferritic or martensitic steels are. These fasteners are lower strength than L7, but they definitely can be used for your temperature range.
