I have recieved a file that is in dwg form and have opened it in autocad 2010. I am needing to import the file to solidworks. I used to have autocad mechanical and would just export as an IGES or STEP file and that would open on solidworks, but autocad 2010 is not giving me the option to do so. I didn't know if anyone on here might have some experience with this. any help is greatly appreciated

I am not sure for 2010 but in 2009 I simplyexport as ACIS ( .sat). Solidworks can open it just like STEP or IGES.
