Does anyone know of any way to export out .xdw files from NX7.5?
Whether is be a grip or a journal, if anyone knows of a way to do so, please let me know.
Thanks!

You really are not allowed to ask questions on here based on your schoolwork.

I read the forum policies and am fully aware of that. None of the questions I ask on this site pertain to any homework or classes I am taking at school. I simply put that as a part of my signature to show my credentials.

The company I currently work for pays an extra couple thousand a year for a few seeds of another cad program just to create .xdw files for the machines on the floor. If NX has a way to do that, it would save us time and money for our CAD and Data Prep Departments.

No, there is no way for NX to do it that I know of.

from curiosity,:
What machines / software uses / reads .xdw ?
Sometimes "a dialect of a well known file format" has a different name to avoid copyright issues.
The good old HPGL format probably exists in "ungoogleable numbers" under different names. :)
It could be worth a check to see if the .xdw can be translated by tweaking an existing translator.

From what I can find on the net it appears that .xdw files (owned and developed by Fuji Xerox for files saved in their 'DocuWorks' format) it sounds like it might be something similar to a CGM or PDF file both of which can be exported from NX. If so, perhaps there are CGM/PDF to XDW conversion software available. One possible source might be a company called SDI (we actually purchase our plotting software from them as well as some other toolkits for image formatting tasks).
