I have an assembly(or many of them) that I will need to make a 2D layout as a 1:1 DXF to pass on to another department to use. They are asking for components to be on separate layers to make their jobs easier. On smaller assemblies it is easy enough for me to make a new layer for each component, but on larger ones with 200-300 parts and many configurations it will take a very long time for this.
When I "make drawing from assembly" can I have the drawing(or when I export to a DXF, create a new layer for each individual component/all instances of a component on its own layer? On the smaller ones I end up with 30 or so layers. Is there a max number of layers SW allows?
