I have an assembly consisting of sub-assemblies and parts. I've made a multi-step exploded view, and all works great. But after a few changes in this assembly (editing the steps of the exp-view), and changes of sub-assemblies and parts, when I re-open the assembly to continue working on it I see many of my parts are missing their colors. Even if I rebuild and resolve lightweight parts the colors are still missing. The parst get the "standard", white-greyish look. When I check the parts by opening them in a new window, they all look ok. But not in the assembly. And I have experienced this before.
Any suggestions?

SW 2004, 1 GB RAM

1) RMB the part in the assembly, and go to properties of the part.
2) You will see a Color button. Click that button.
3) You will get another Dialog box. Click Remove color.
4) Once you Click "Remove" the color goes black, but that doesn't mean that the part is going to use the color black. Click OK
5) Click OK again.

What this does is, it turns off the assembly color and now you should be using the Part color.
