Hi,

I model a slab, in my model consisted of 2 step:
step 1= apply load
step 2= apply heat (temperature) with constant load.

anyone got any idea why i not getting my external work energy (ALLWK) = internal energy (ALLIE)?
My understanding that ETOTAL=0.0 (ETOTAL=ALLIE-ALLWK), but the results showed ETOTAL>0.0. It seems the internal work is greather than external work energy. Anyone knows what does the extra energy go?

please advice.

Actually the 1st law of thermodynamics is stated in terms of rates. d(ETOTAL)=0
