I'm a new Facilities Engineer assigned the task of selecting a new boiler. We're looking at 2 Miura Boilers which claim to have higher efficiency, particularly for our use which is for day shift only and with varying loads.

Our main concern is reliability and maintenance. Any experience out there that you can share vs. standard fire tube boilers?

Thanks

Varying loads can be an issue with any low water content boiler - especially one that doesn't (or at least didn't) offer a modulating burner. What's the application? How much do your loads swing? How's your water treatment? It better be dead-on with low water content boilers. They have very, VERY limited capacity to tolerate poor water treatment.
