Hello,
Are there a reliable oil-fired condensing boilers out there in the market, whether in Canada or the US? The boiler will be installed to serve an office building; its capacity will be around 150 kW.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of such type of boilers?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks!

Don't know any vendors but that seems to be quite a reasonable size and there are many manufacturers.

Reliable reliability data is hard to find - you need to talk to a few installers as they will get the data on repairs and issues from users and will see more than one manufacturer. but they may also be biased or have experience on mainly one vendor, but tif the same name(s) come up from more than one then that's about as good as you're going to get.

Advantages - significantly greater efficiency - 90-95% versus about 60-65% for the older type units.

Minor negatives - You need to have a condensate drain somewhere it won't freeze up and the exhaust emits steam / visible plumes.
The secondary HX is either stainless or aluminium and can be a little less solid than the previous cast iron type exchangers and generally have a limited life of 10-15 years, but industrial sized ones might be a bit different.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Verify really clean combustion; depending on design, soot can be notoriously difficult to remove from HX surfaces.
