Hi!
Here is my problem: I have an assembly, actually its a electric motor, and I'd like to cut it, except the shaft. BUT when I choose all of the parts without shaft, and make section then CATIA cut my motor (goood), while it makes surface from my shaft (not goood).

Do you have any idea, how can Catia do it right?

Thanks,
Peter

Yes...project your section view and make it active. right click on the view border..in the drop down list select the view name then select overload properties..when the characteristics box opens up, select the part in the view and it will list it. Highlight the part name and select edit...deselect "use in section view projection" and say ok.

Thats if your in the drafting work bench...sorry not sure if you were in assembly design.

Or in assy wb, right-click the shaft in the tree, select Properties, in drafting tick "Do not cut in section views"
