how come when you zoom in, the letters get smaller?

I find it extremely hard to work with Excel files in drawings and I dont know why. Believe me, it's NOT by choice that I find myself making manual BOM's, but I have explained over and over to mgmt that my part properties are embedded but they still want to see ancient looking ACAD style BOM's on the drawings.

If anyone knows how to edit excel tables in SW Drawings efficiently, I appreciate any advice or direction.

thanks.

uGlay………Have you tried using the BOM table in Solidworks? Have you submitted samples to the mgmt?

We generate our BOM’s using this table and get excellent results and have tailored ours to look almost identical to our old style ACAD table.

The table is very editable e.g. realign vertical columns A,B,C,D by dragging across horizontally. Format row heights & column widths. Amend font styles & heights. (very similar techniques used when formatting Word tables or Excel type spreadsheet)

I would hate to have to create and input this data manually. This defeats the object of a parametric modeller.

Best regards
Eddy
