Hi there,

I am looking for a software to import / paste an excel table into autocad 2004. I would like to have every cell as an individual m-text object. I also would like that those m-text objects are all nicely lined up. I know there is a lot of shareware but isn't there any freeware?

Thanks

Hi,

maybe the Acadtools would help.
You can copy an excel table into Acad with "_pastespec" -> then use a text2mtext tool (lisp)...

Which shareware do you like? Post the link.

I use Spanner program to insert my Excel tables into AutoCad. I use it to show mechancial equipment schedules. But it is not editable. To change it, I need to update the Excel table, export a file, then import into Autocad. It comes in as a Block, that can be exploded to change, but effects the streamline of importing the file.

Am I missing something here? Have you looked at the OLE command under the INSERT pull down menue? Do your edit in the excel worksheet and that should automatically reflect in the ACAD viewing screen.

Here is a link to a tutorial for inserting an EXCEL schedule into a drawing.

I pulled a torpedo level out of the bag and put it on the frame rail and the senior year intern engineering student exclaimed "Ooo...what is that?!".
