Hi all,
I have a big excel workbook where I have a very complex financial model.
My first sheet has a chart.
The problem I am facing is that, when I select "Save As" and try to save the spreadsheet under a different name, the worksheet does about 15 to 20 concurrent calculations
(at the status bar I see it counting the percentages saying "Calculating Cells %..) , then at about 20%, a progress bar starts filling , says "Chart" on the side, so I believe chart is being updated, then again "Calculating Cells %" and again "Chart" etc. this goes on for about 15-
20 cycles.
This takes a lot of time as the excel sheets get bigger.
Has any one of you faced a similar situation?
(when I do a "Save" instead of "Save as", it only calculates 1 time and then saves.
What is the difference between "Save as" and "Save" that would cause such a different behaviour?
Thanks a lot
