Excel interface with MSDOS 1

Hi,
I want to interface Excel with an MSDOS executable to export an input file, initiate the executable calculation, and import the results back to excel.

This was previously discussed in the attached thread.

Can anyone share a working macro or VB code?

No allergy to the help system, just a general lack of VB programming knowledge. I do dislike re-inventing the wheel.

IRstuff has previously provided the VBA code, and I am capable of modifying it for a different executable.

However, having the original excel file would make interpreting what is going on much easier.

Any chance IRstuff could supply the original files: Xl_acqwm2.xls, etc.?

Can't find that specific file, but the attached should have the similar basic routine in RunFlir92 in Module 1.

Zona.bat ran the program and created a dummy file that Excel would look for. Something like that... It's been 10 yrs since I created that file...

IR, your past comes back to haunt you again! I always love referencing old, old designs, especially when new tools will still read the old formats.
