Excel File Custom BOM Table Bugs

In SW 2010, SP 1.0, an excel bom table imported to an assembly drawing is giving me fits. The property PARTNO correctly imports the part number into the BOM table, for all parts except those with multiple configurations - the value in the PARTNO column is reporting the Configuration Name. The custom properties is correct - there are no stray entries anywhere except the configuration specific. The files originally had multiple configurations but were modified to delete all but the one, which is why the component name is used for that configuration name instead of "default" or some other name.

I have tried other Excel Table BOM files (with different property values) and they all report the same bogus information. I don't know whether this is a bug in 2010 or not. The parts are simple enough to delete and reconstruct them if necessary - but wanted to check other ideas first.

Do the parts have a DT to control the configs?
Did you delete the configs in the part or the DT?

Can you Pack and Go the assy to a ZIP file and post here for review?

Open one of the problematic parts, and select the configurations tab above the feature tree. Right click on the used configuration and select properties. Compare the entries in the Bill of Materials Options between parts that work correctly and ones that do not. Setting the drop down to User Specified Name and the text field to $PRP:"PARTNO" may give the desired behavior.
