Heloo All:
I have got 20 sheets in an excel file. Now for the first sheet say "A" i have drawn various charts(20 in no.) in series.
For the remaining 19 sheets i need to draw again 20 charts
for each sheet. The cell nos. for both "x" and "y" axis are the same as for the 20 charts already drawn for sheet "A".
Can you suggest any methos wherein i don't have to select the cells each time corresponding to "x" axis, "y" axis and give a relevant code as the cell nos. for 20 charts in each sheet are the same as for the cell nos. of the 20 charts in sheet "A" which are already drawn.
Please help
Peter

One way to do it:

select the tab for sheet "A" at the bottom of the screen. Right click and choose "move or copy." Select "move to end" and check the "make a copy" box. This will make an exact duplicate of sheet "A", but with a slightly different name. Now select all your data from sheet "B" and copy it. Paste this data over the data in the copy of "A". Now you can delete "B" and rename the copy of "A" to "B".

Thanks very much!!!Good idea, never striked me!!

ivymike and Excel doubt,
i agree and support with what ivymike recommended, with one matter that needs to be checked. from my recollection, when copying and pasting data, like you've mention, into an already established chart, use the paste special feature and paste the values only or formulas only. i seem to recollect doing the same thing, but when pasting data, the chart series data source needed to be re-established - a royal pain...
apparently when pasting data, the chart looks for data in a certain area and when pasting data over existing chart data series references, it fouls up. something to be aware of.
