Good day
I am based in South Africa its my first time using Eurocodes. I am quite overwhelmed can anyone please assist especially with the basic stuff for steel design.

1.Load combinations.
2.what are the important checks to do
3. Sample calculations to illustrate load combinations, section design and the various checks.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards
Mmusi

Hello
well not easy to answer in 2 sentences
There are a lot of good books on use of eurocode...also many information and examples you will find asking dr google

Google :

1 - steel building design : worked examples for students

2 - commentary and worked examples to EN 1993 JRC

3 - designers' guide to EN 1993 Eurocode 3

Structural Elements Design Manual Authors Draycott & Bullman published by Butterworth & Heinemann

Eurocodes are OK to an extent - EC 3 for example can often give lighter steel structures than other codes,
but they are really intended for spreadsheets rather than hand calculation.
