Eurocode and Mathcad Prime 3 Calculations - Display of Characters with overbars

Presentation of Eurocode structural calculations in Mathcad Prime 3 is generally straightforward but I can't find any way of showing overbars on symbols - eg lamda over-bared. It is easy enough to prepare the required over-bared characters in the Windows 7 private character editor and these can readily be copied and pasted into Word, for example. But not into Mathcad Prime. Has anyone else faced and resolved this frustrating problem? And if so any guidance would be much appreciated.
