We have a project that requires an etched foil element, rather than our normal wire wound element (we make flexible heaters)

Does anyone have any ideas what calculations I need to switch to etch foil construction? If I could experiment, I could probably find it after several iterations, but we would be sending the artwork out for processing, so I want to get it right the first time.

Thanks,

True, but I forsee this type of thing becoming more common in the future, and I want to learn how to do it. Sure, for the first couple of times, it makes sense to farm it out, but that doesn't help me in the long run.

Nonetheless, the design kit that Minco sells contains a raft of design-related info.
