ETAP Load Flow Analysis - Generator Overload and Under Excited Problem

Hi Masters,

Can I ask, how do you fix the Generator Under excited and overload alert in ETAP.

Reduce the load.
or
Increase the size of the generator.

I think it's reflecting your model and your loading condition. (Not an ETAP user) Underexcited means generator is running at a leading power factor. Try increasing the voltage setpoint. As Bill indicates, you may have overloads, although the output report shows them at 100%. If you model everything in the system running at full connected load, "overloads" are a common problem. In the real world, not everything will be running at full load.

Maybe read up on the power flow section of the Help file.
