So reading the help section, this function is suppose to allow application of different support stiffnesses in different directions of the same translation. I want to model piles to be far stiffer in compression than tension.
I have defined the link properties and applied them as +Z and -Z in the Point Spring Property Data. The problem arises because the program only seems to recognise the +Z value and applies in in both the + and - directions. Deleting the Z+ link, the program similarly doesn't recognise the -Z value and the joint becomes completely unrestrained in both directions of that translation.
Anyone have a similar problem or can work out what's going wrong?

I'm new to ETABS to may be something stupid I've overlooked?
2015 version / running non-linear cases / other translations (X/Y) have stiffeness inputted in typical global direction simple spring stiffness / thanks
