In my shear wall analysis, Etabs is subtracting the torsional shear from direct shear i.e. my total shear is less than the direct shear. I think the positive torsional shear should be added to direct shear but the negative torsional shear should not be added to direct shear, isn’t it? Do you guys know how to fix this problem in Etabs ? Your input on this is deeply appreciated. Thank you.
