Hello,

Im currently having a problem with an assembly created in NX 8. Its a parametrized model that that updates 6 different arrangements that are later used in for drafting. The problem I seem to have is that when parametrized values are updated, the model is correctly updated, but when I call down for the section views representing the different arrangements, parts seem to be displaced. I mean, distances and values are correctly updated, but the view seem off position. Currently Im solving these problem by clicking update view several times, until it magically updates correctly and the drawing is the same as what I see in the modelling view.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to solve it?

Thanks in advance,
Guillermo

Using Nx8.

Unless you have Auto-Update turned on in Drafting, you will ALWAYS need to update the Drawing views after modeling changes are made. You say that you have to perform this update several times. When you go to the Update Views dialog when performing these additional updates, does the dialog show that these views are out-of-date by highlighting them in the list of view? If you push the icon labeled 'Select All Out-of-Date Views' do the views which look like they are still out-of-date get selected?

Yes, I have a journal set up to update out of date views... The problem is althought NX tells me they are updated (the check mark on thee side of the view), drawings seem to be moved.... I mean.. it appears as an intersection in models, although when in modeling view, models are correctly positioned. It just takes several updates for drawings to be corrected... I have tried to find a cause of this... but still havent got a clue.. It just takes several attempts at updating for it to appear in the correct position

If you have an Assembly where you can reproduce this behavior on demand, please contact GTAC and have them look at your files.
