Error using tangent curve.

Using i-deas v11. I am having trouble with the tangent curve option in master modeler. When i try and use it an error comes up as follows:

Internal error in function vs5cbk/load_network
-vs3rgva returned a 501 when called by vs5cbk/load_network at position 2231-
aborting vs5cbk/ vs5cbk at position 684.

Does anyone have any idea as to what this means, and how I can rectify it.

Does this error only occur when trying to attach to specific curves or would you get the same error in a brand new Model File using two new curves you have just created.
