I have an enquiry relating to excavation equipment.

For a say, 5 Tonne digger, what would be the overall track width and reach? Similarly for all common weight classes...from small(2-3 tonne) to large (say 30 Tonne)

I know that these may vary for different makes and models, I'm only looking for a rough idea for mainstream machines.

Thanks

Go to the individual equipment websites for the dimensions. They all have one.

Each machine is different and is best suited to individual applications. Some excavators are specified with "wide pads" to reduce the overall bearing weight on the supporting soils. Also, each machine has different dimensions based on weight, application, length of boom and dipper, bucket size and flywheel horsepower. The best help I can suggest is to visit the dealer nearest to you in your area (CAT, John Deere, Komatsu). They are very comparable between each machine class so it would suffice.
