Hello all

I received a new work computer with SolidWorks loaded. Now when I do an Equation, I get a ? mark instead of the Equation symbol. It is a simple equation Width divided by 2. I'm using SolidWorks 2005. Any options on why this is happening. Thank you.

In the FM tree or in the Equation box?

I'm assuming the specs in your signature are for your old machine?

The specs in my signature are for my old machine. I'm going to update them later. In the Sketch beside the Dimension appears the Equation Symbol but with this new machine that symbol changed to a ? mark.

Does the Equation function properly when associated dimensions change?

Is this happening for all types of Equations?
New and existing?

The Equation functions properly when the associated dimensions change on old and new Equations. The Linked Values have the correct symbol attached to the Sketch Dimensions. In the Equation Box everything is OK, just the symbol that is attached to the Sketch Dimension is incorrect. Thanks for your help.

If you can you post the part, I will be able to look at it on a SW05 machine tomorrow ... or a SW06 and07 machine tonight.

Does the "Linked Dimension" symbol show up correctly? My guess is that it's somehow font related. If everything still works OK I'd just shrug and go on.

The Linked Dimension symbol does show correctly. Just the Equation symbol is incorrect. The machine did go from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Pro. Thanks.

Does this only happen with one file? If you can't post that file due to information security reasons, can you make a new junk part and add an equation and post it?
