Hi! I am relatively new at EPANET. I have been working on a system that was already built but didn't run, doing some research I found out that there were some issues with the pumps (the pump curve was not accurate),so I fixed those (I included the right pump curve). There are two wells on this system (modeled using a reservoir + a pump) each pump has its own pump curve. Once I fixed the pump curves, the system only runs if I leave one pump open and the other pump closed, I was wondering if any of you could help me understand why is that happening? what does it means to have one pump on and the other off? I have been searching on-line but have not been able to find the logic.

If demand is such that just one pump will supply the system then the other one will be off
unless the area is large and the piping is small getting the pumps to both run in a balance can be tricky
