I am working on a water distribution system for an EWB Chapter.

I am trying to import GPS points to EPANet, but am struggling to figure out how to do this.

I was able to import the GPS points via AutoCAD and Civil3D into EPANet. The general distribution of points is correct. However, the actual distance between them is way off. This, of course, renders our model useless. I tried changing the units, and that did not help.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know how to point me in the right direction? If importing is not possible, how can you ensure they are in the correct location for modeling? (the Google Earth image of the area we are working is too low of quality to use)

Since the distribution of points is correct you need to get the distances into either meters or feet which ever you are using
I would export the input file (filename.inp) into excel, multiply the length column by the factor to get the right length then convert it back to the input file

I would also export the .map file into excel, again multiply the coordinates to get the right distances for any new points that would be added in the future in order to use the auto length function correctly. The auto length function only works for pipes as you add them
