I've got a large steel frame model with 28 load combos. Is there a way to view the model with member unity under an envelope solution? I could have sworn there was, but I cannot get it to show!

Thanks in advance Josh! :)

Open the Plot Options dialog. Go to the members tab and select the Color Coded option for the way the program draws the members. Then choose "Bending Check" as the color basis. That should do it.... There are other ways as well. But, I don't know what version you are running, so the other methods may or may not be valid.

Thanks. That's how I've always viewed the unity checks, but it does seem to be working on this model under an envelope solution. I can view the unities one load combo at a time when run as a batch though. (RISA3D v8.1.0)

PMR06 -

That's right, there was a bug in version 8.1.0 that caused this. I can't believe I didn't remember that immediately. Looking it up, it appears there was an 8.1.1 update released within a couple of months that corrected this.

Unfortunately, RISA doesn't have those old installs posted to the website anymore. We usually have the latest version on the public pages and then one version back on a "secret" page that we can send out. Since the 8.1 release came out in 2009 (and has since been superceeded by 9.0, 9.1 and 10.0) I'm sure that won't be on the website anymore. If you've got one of the 8.1.x updates on one of your other computers, then you can contact me privately and I can give you some instructions on manually copying it over from the other computer to you newer ones.

I'll have to remember that limitation. In the meantime I'll search around and see if IT has an update or if I can find it floating around on the interwebs.

Thanks again!
