Does anyone know of a program (stand alone of SE dependent) that will take the data from a BOM on a draft file and enter this into a specific MRP program?
More likely, I would need a program that strip the BOM data from a Draft File, and then output into a specific CDF (comma delimited format) so that our current MRP program (MANFACT) could then import it.
We're a manufacturing firm and need to have the data from the BOM entered into our system so that purchasing can order the raw material. As of now, it is all done manually (which is very inefficient and labor intensive).
I just saw a demo for a software package called EDM or EPM (company from Italy). It was a little bit too much like buying a Swiss Army knife when all you needed was a tweezers. It pretty much took the place of Insight as well as doing this MRP entry. I'm looking for something simple.
