Does anybody use Enovia data mgmt system for UGNX? Is it possible or is it too risky due to data loss/mismanagement?

My company is thinking about using Enovia to control CAD data/dwg's. We currently use GM math data for our details. We use a asm structure same as GM except we do not use TeamCenter.

I am not sure how Enovia is going to handle GM named parts along with the asm structure. I hear Enovia is going to do some renaming of parts also.

I did some searching on Enovia and see a lot of Catia concerning this, but no UGNX. One Catia designer/leader is pushing real hard for this to happen.

Let me know of any thoughts you might have on this subject.

Thanks

While I can't recall any UGNX sites managing their data with Enovia, I could give you a long list of organizations who are managing their Catia data with TeamCenter. In fact, it's generally accepted that around the globe today, that there's more Catia generated data being managed on TeamCenter than being managed using Enovia, and by a very significant amount.

I have an Enovia sandbox enviornment set up with the NX integration installed. It is bacically CAD file vaulting (checkin/checkout) with version/revision control. No where near as powerful as Teamcenter but it would probably satisify your basic needs. I am sure it could be configured to handle your naming requirements.
