Is there a TT font out there that has double lines that are equally spaced so you can extrude, or cut with taper to a single center line. I have used the camworks font, but it is not saved in the model. If a cut cut or extrude could be done to a point, it would be on the model and the geometry could de extracted in the cam software and cut with an engraving cutter. I have looked at many fonts and have not found one that is equally spaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using Century Gothic for our CNC. I don't know if the machinist uses it, but it's on every model to scribe the part numbers.

Check out thread559-259467 it has a word doc to help you decide what text might work better rather than searching through character map.

I have spent a bit of time searching for options to do what you describe. We have come up with two options depending on what situation we are in.
For engraving names on metal for jig names etc (ie no specific font required) we use Moorpark. This font is a single line font that works great with a engraving tip, d-bit or for large work a ballnose cutter. The trick to using Moorpark is to create the text, then dissolve the text into a collection of lines. You then delete the exta lines (something to do with fitting in with font definitions). We don't model the engraving, but use the sketch only in the model.
For engraving specific fonts we just cut the letters like a pocket. We pretend the engraving bit has no angle. We are always engraving tooling though, so when plastic parts are made you only see the 'bottom' of the engraving, and the taper of the cutter doesn't matter.
