Can anyone suggest where to find a list of the Engineering & Construction companies specializing in the chemical industry which operate in the USA?
TIA

Have you heard of Try that.

But i know the following:

Bechtel
FLuor Daniel as already mentioned
Jacobs
ABB Lumus
Technip
AK Kvaerner
Foster Wheeler
KBR (Kellog Brown Root)

the Engineering News Record
provides an annual listing of companies and ranks them accordingly in their business sector. try searching the website provided above and start looking there.

the companies listed by Homayun is a start.

Thanks to everyone!

It depends somewhat on the nature of the work and on where you are at. The companies above are companies that would do a whole chemical plant, IE, major projects. If you're looking at specific repair work, you may find smaller local companies that can do the work as well.

Snamprogetti
Linde
Uhde
Lurgi
JGC
Parsons
Stone Webster, etc

Jacobs - my employer, Parsons, Shaw/Stone, Fluor and several others are in the USA. Snamprogetti, Linde, Uhde, Lurgi and JGC are major contractors and are worthy of international consideration. However I would not have mentioned this latter group among contractors specializing in the chemical business in the USA as the inquiry requested.
