I NEED AN INEXPENSIVE ROTARY ENCODER/DIGITAL READOUT TO INCORPORATE INTO A CUTOFF DEVICE FOR ROLL FORMED PARTS THAT ARE PREFORMED TO VARIOUS LENGTHS AND RADII. PLUS OR MINUS .010" WOULD BE SUFFICIENT ACCURACY. LENGHTS TO 12'. READOUT IN FEET AND TENTHS OF FEET. "0" RESET REQUIRED ON READOUT DEVICE. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

As a student, I part-timed with an outfit that made retrofit CNC controls and readouts.

They manufactured digital controls and readouts to retrofit on manually operated machines.

You might try searching: retrofit CNC or retrofit digital readouts and also look in machine shop trade publications.

That's where we advertised.
