PLUS OR MINUS .010" WOULD BE SUFFICIENT ACCURACY. LENGHTS TO 12'. READOUT IN FEET AND TENTHS OF FEET. "0" RESET REQUIRED ON READOUT DEVICE. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

They manufactured digital controls and readouts to retrofit on manually operated machines.
You might try searching: retrofit CNC or retrofit digital readouts and also look in machine shop trade publications.
