Is there any reason why a manufacturer with a plant in england and one in another country cannot complete the en10204 certification in the name of the plant in england which is the head office and main company. EN10204 uses the term organisation has responsibility which would imply this is possible, as long as traceable systems are in place like iso 9001 is there a reason why the item certificate must have the actual address of the manufacturing plant in the other country on it. Both companies use the same electronic system for traceability of raw materials and tests. It uses a generic test certificate program but this only has the UK address on the header of the material certificate. also the small manufacturing plant in the other country is a division of the uk company. Thanks in advance for any advise.
Thanks

The reason could be that EN 10168, which governs the contents of EN 10204 inspection documents, stipulates that the name and address shown is that of the works where the product was manufactured.

If your organisation i.e. both plants operate the same mangement system and procedures and if the system is managed by the same quality management team under one system registration (global registration). Also if within this system it is stated that person A at plant A is authorised to validate inspection documents for products produced at plant B you may just have a case and should talk to your management system notified body.
