EN 13444-3 vs EN 286-1

Hi, what's the main difference between EN 13445-3 and EN 286-1?
these 2 codes are accepted in Europe, but in other parts of the world, EN 13445-3 is accepted but not EN 286-1.
i tried searching around but there isn't any answer, or maybe nobody queried this before.
