I believe that there exists a API standard for estimating the emissions from a floating roof crude oil storage tank but i cant remember the number.

Anybody here know this - or has other usefull info regarding estimating emissions from floating roof storage tanks?

I have read this post: but it seems not to deal with floating roof tanks.

Best regards

Morten

API MPMS 19.2 is what you need. The title is "Evaporative Losses from Floating Roof Tanks". It is available from API zt (800) 854-7179 or Global Engineering Documents at put API 19.2 in the search field. The info in 19.2 is also in the EPA AP-42 document found at

Seems silly to use a shortcut method that an EPA region may not accept when Tanks4 is a free program available on the EPA web site.

Im not really worried about EPA - but there may be a similar Danish agency to worry about :-)

Anyway. Thans for the comments links etc. Will give me something to work with after christmas.

Merry christmas
