Someone once said there are two kinds of EEs - those that have dealt with noise issues, and those that will deal with noise issues.

What good references have you found for EMI and RFI issues? What techniques have worked for you, or not worked for you?

I'll start the discussion with two good references:
Noise Reduction Techniques in Electronic Systems, Henry W. Ott ISBN 0-471-85068-3

High Speed Digital Design, a Handbook of Black Magic, Howard Johnson and Martin Graham, ISBN 0-13-395724-1

OK, some ground rules.

Define what your circuit is doing. Is it an RF circuit, or is it a high speed digital circuit.
The techniques to cure the problems are quite different between the two.

What have you done to determine your problem frequencies?

What tools do you have, or are you familiar with for finding the problem areas in your circuit?

Also, define what you mean by noise. Are you talking about component noise which interferes with the operation of your circuit? Or are you talking about EMI noise which keeps you from shipping your product?
