About done designing a simple 20-foot connector between two commercial buildings. Client wanted concrete in span deck on steel beams and posts. No big deal.

I don't have a ton of experience with concrete stairs, however. The connector makes a 90 degree turn and the stairs come in to connect two different elevations, both self-supported.

My questions are, how would you form this up? The client said he had heard of some metal forms with steel already in them. Not sure. This also will need to be able to support the walls and roof to cover it. The connector is 4 feet wide with 8-foot basic 2x6 insulated stud walls with a roof. Nothing fancy. They will add siding to match the building at the end.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bammer25, I don't have an answer to your question but adding a sketch would help in case anyone peeps this question.

Here is the plan view and a section of the connector. Again, not sure if I should design the concrete stairs to span between landings and 2 by stud off each step and build the walls and roof like residential construction or if there is another way

Won't something like this work?

Yeah it would. I already suggested a ramp style but they want steps.

The design of concrete stair is similar to an elevated ramp and you detail like a stair slab. Think of thick slab and and beam design.
