Hi,

Is it possible in a model containing solid elements to specify material properties to individual elements (ie poissons ratio and Young's modulus)? I have read about the *distribution and *element properties keywords but these seem to only be applicable with shell elements.

Thanks,
Andrea

Hi Andrea

Can you not just group the elements into an *ELSET, one for each material property?

In CAE, I guess you would have to partition the model up to define the seperate material regions..?

hello Andrea
I have a same problem.
I am trying to model a polymer stent which expands inside an Plaque/artery, modelled as a simple tube of hyperelast. The job runs until contact is made, but abrots soon after, i just get the "too many attempts on this increment error".
i will know, how you find the solution.
Again thanks in advance for your help
