Hello everyone,

we get a request to electroplate some steel components according to ISO 15726.
In our request, thickness is defined as 10um.
ZiNi porcentaje is also set to 12% Nickel.

I checked the standard and I’m not able to find any tolerance to these values.
I can’t also evaluate the influence of using, for example thicker coating.

I would appreciate if you could provide me some feedback on this topic.

Thanks in advance!

Values are typically minimum to achieve as measured on coating completion.
Without indication on the usage, it's difficult to evaluate the impact of over thick coating. However the manufacturer is likely to aim for the minimum value because this is less material and less cost for him!

* Finding a solution is great * Knowing how to implement it is fantastic * Believing it is the only one and best is naive ?
