Can anyone enlighten me regarding the usefulness of Electronics Work Bench V5. Is it good for circuit developement? Is it better at Digital or Analouge circuit design? In particular for active filter design.
Any advice will be well received.

Electronic Workbench is pretty good for designing analog and digital circuits. However its a bit expensive if you plan on buying it and the demo version wont allow you to save your design.

There is also Microcap 7 from spectrum-soft that auto generates passive/active filters by just specifying the limitations of the filter you want to conceive. The demo version allows you to save your design and is less expensive than EWB in case you want to buy it. The only limitation on filter design is that you cannot go over degree 3 filters.

Hope it helps

hi..

personnally i like the EWB, there is a demo version but if you are into more of tinkering with circuits, try to get the full version...
